A persistent vision for education has given birth to Educities

The era of the Internet has begun. The entire society is facing a dramatic change. Yet, where is the future path of our education?

A group of scholars with great enthusiasm for education took initiatives to study the learning models of the Internet communities. They devoted themselves into developing learning technology, the Active Social Learning, hoping to provide services to people with technology and put more humanity and care into the education. They were first funded by National Science Council and then able to upgrade it to a research project with the support of Ministry of Education. Ultimately, their vision for online education was then realized and popularized!XEducities was first announced on 1/05/2000.

Dr. Lee Yuan-tseh, President of Academia Sinica, is our Honorary Mayor and Minister of Education is our City Advisor. Educities cannot grow up and thrive without the guidance of the social elites, the continuous innovational researches of many universities, the support of government authorities, enthusiastic participation of civil groups and the sponsorship from many public and private corporations.
